MAD® Hiking is an airbag vest to prevent injuries resulting from falls caused by trips and slips. The system consists of an airbag that inflates in the event of a fall through Cold Gas Inflators activated by a very low voltage current pulse controlled by an electronic control unit that monitors the user’s status.
The operating system constantly monitors the user’s stability through an inertial platform consisting of a gyroscope and an accelerometer. The platform compares data using an algorithm developed in AI with advanced neural networks.

The MAD Hiking (Work) product is certified as category II PPE, intended to protect the user’s body from Dangers arising from a fall (mechanical injuries).
The Certification procedure is carried out in accordance with the essential health and safety requirements of the EU PPE Regulation 2016/425 (Annex II) based on the internal technical protocol of RICOTEST (Notified Body no. 0498 – ITALY – 37010 Pastrengo – Via Tione, 9

WARNING: MAD Hiking is not a fall arrest system!
Each jacket is individually packaged in a plastic bag and placed inside cardboard packaging. The package also includes an individually packaged battery charger and the use and maintenance manual.
